Though the accordion and concertina might look similar at first glance, they have many differences.
The accordion is a large, robust instrument known for its iconic look and versatile sound. It features a piano-style keyboard on one side and buttons on the other, played by squeezing and expanding the bellows.
The concertina is a small, portable instrument with a unique charm, easily recognized by its hexagonal or octagonal shape. Unlike the accordion, concertinas come in different systems like English, Anglo, and Duet, each offering distinct layouts and sounds. It produces music by pressing buttons on both ends, which activate reeds to create specific pitches.
