I'm interested in how everyone first discovered Rise Against, whether they remember which song it was and whether it was from a friend, the radio, the internet or a game for example. For example, I first heard Rise Against in a YouTube video many years ago. It was Hero of War in a HMV Hell: Reach and so I checked out their Vevo and listened to some of their other stuff (I remember watching the video for Re-Education I think). Then I heard Help Is On The Way on Radio 1, Prayer of the Refugee on Guitar Hero 3, Savior on Guitar Hero 5 and then my friend lent me Appeal To Reason and it all went from there Then I bought Endgame for myself. Over the years, as my taste in music has gotten a lot heavier/punkier, I've been working my way through Rise Against's albums backwards and have recently been listening to the Unraveling a lot which is great And even going into some of Tim's old stuff in The Killing Tree which is very metal \m/

I used to play Runescape in the past. And back then people made music video's in that game. Thats how I got into Rise Against. The first songs I heard were Worth dying for and Behind closed doors. Since I liked these songs I started searching for others and soon I was addicted to Rise Against.

Around 2003 a friend bought me back a CD from the USA and said "listen to these guys. They sound like a lot of the bands we use to listen to". The disk was Revolutions per Minute. Torches, Heaven Knows and Halfway There were the songs that started it all for me. It was very hard to find any information about the band back then. We had no internet or computer. It wasn't until we finally got the internet, I was able to find more about them. A lot of their songs are about issues that affect us all and I think that is also was what got me into them.

I got into Rise Against mainly because of my dad believe it or not. My dad and I would play this baseball game together all the time and it had Collapse (Post-Amerika) on the sound track. Me and my dad loved the song and we would always jam out to it together so that Christmas he got me Appeal to Reason so I could listen to the album that Collapse came from and I fell in love with the music from there.

Music videos. Someone linked me to Give It All, and I loved it, and kept clicking on more. Hero of War was when I knew I had a new favorite.

The first Rise Against song I heard was Like The Angel on Tony Hawk's Underground. From there on out I became obsessed.

I have a older cousin who used to listen to Rise Against, so I know them since 2007 or so, but haven't got into them much. 2010 or 2011 I heard a song by them (Collapse I think) and really loved it and went to a record store and just bought all of the RA albums they had there! I first listened to Rpm, and when Heaven Knows played I kinda fell in love with it. That's when it all started

I heard Savior on the computer game The Sims 3 Ambitions, and I loved that song and looked for it on youtube. My second song was Worth Dying For. And then came Satellite, Re-Education, Prayer Of the Refugee and a lot more, so I bought the CDs

Hey, I remember how i get into them... It was becauae of a friend who told me the nme of the band and then i watched a video on youtube from them. It was Prayer of the Refugee so this was the first song I've ever heard from them. Now it's about 2 1/2 years ago. Half a year later my mom came home from the library with a rise against CD which she brought by mistake so i rediscovered them And then I fell in love with them and yeah here I am
