Some of you may have noticed by looking at the date that this show was on Tim's birthday. Boy was that interesting. This show was also pretty special for me because I got to bring a good friend of mine to her first concert ever!
Now unlike other people I was not able to get down to the venue 6-8 hours before the show because of a couple reasons: 1) it was on a Tuesday so you know... School. And 2) I don't think my parents would appreciate waiting in line for that long. Nonetheless the show was still incredible. We got to the doors probably at about 8:00 because we had been to a show on this tour before and my parents did not feel like seeing Killswitch Engage again believe it or not. So since we could hear everything from the lobby and honestly I think my parents feared that I would get caught in a mosh pit we just chilled on the floor in the area until Killswitch was off.
While we were waiting for Rise to come on my parents and friend kept making fun of me because I was so excited that I kept bouncing up and down... (Yeah I've seen them a lot and I do this everytime.... no shame) Eventually, they finally came out and they kicked off the show with a badass performance of The Great Die-Off. The show didn't slow down at all from the get go. People were singing and moshing and crowd surfing the whole time. About halfway through the show Tim brought Milo from the Descendants out on stage and they did a Bad Brains cover and naturally a Descendants cover. That was fucking awesome! Around this time is when they started to wind down and Tim and Zach did a small acoustic set. As they were setting up Zach noticed that someone in the crowd was holding a banner that said "Happy Birthday Snacklrath" which then led to Zach telling the amazing story of how Tim got that name which he then concluded with "I have a problem... Don't judge me."
All in all the show was incredible and I sure as hell can't wait to see them again!
